Jason L Smith is a speaker, financial planner, bestselling author, coach, and entrepreneur. He is founder, president and CEO of Clarity 2 Prosperity. Jason is also the founder and CEO of C2P Advisory Group and Prosperity Capital Advisors as well as the founder and CEO of Valor Capital Management and The JL Smith Group, his own holistically-run financial services practice.

Jason has been in the financial services industry since he started at his father’s insurance agency in 1995. Through education and drive, he launched The JL Smith Group and has spearheaded its evolution into a comprehensive, client-focused practice providing wealth management, retirement income, tax, and legacy planning.

Jason has segued his experiences as an advisor into helping teach others how to achieve success. He regularly trains advisors through live events, coaching calls and study groups. He helps to develop and test market concepts in his practice and makes his office available to select advisors to observe him and his team for training purposes. He is called upon to speak at many industry events, including Ed Slott’s Elite IRA Advisor GroupSM workshops, Forum 400, and MDRT’s Top of the Table annual meeting. Jason is passionate about mentoring advisors in order to help them achieve a common goal: improving the lives of American families through holistic financial planning.

Jason strives to help businesses operate more efficiently, enhancing their overall net profitability as well as improving the quality of client service. A few of his processes include The Bucket Plan Best Interest Process an asset-positioning strategy featured in his bestselling book The Bucket Plan, and The Bucket Plan Holistic Planning Process, which is a fee-based financial planning model designed to compensate advisors for their advice and planning time as well as the intellectual capital they have acquired throughout their careers in order to do so.

David Alison, executive vice president of C2P Enterprises, is an accomplished CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, industry mentor, trainer and strategist known for creating and innovating industry-leading financial planning and investment processes to help advisors deliver holistic wealth management solutions to their clients.

Dave is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and regularly conduct advisor training on C2P’s signature planning processes and investment strategies. He has a true passion for educating advisors on ways they can enhance the financial planning strategies they bring to their clients. As a founding partner, Dave helped bring together the like-minded team at Clarity 2 Prosperity and values the group’s goal of changing the financial services industry for the better and its dedication to only working with those who have high ethical standards and a focus on putting the clients’ needs first.

Dave entered the financial services industry through an internship in college and immediately realized he found his calling. Upon graduating from Bowling Green State University with a degree in finance, Dave interviewed for a position as a fund analyst at one of the largest brokerage and investment managers in the world. The interview process quickly made him realize his passion was not analyzing funds, but rather helping individual clients and families manage their investments. At that time, Dave joined an established financial planning office in Florida that was beginning to build a national presence. Within a five-year period, Dave helped grow that organization exponentially, resulting in over $3.5 billion in new assets.

In addition to his role at C2P Enterprises, Dave is the founder of Alison Wealth Management, a boutique holistic financial planning and investment management firm bringing household CFO services to high-net worth families in Silicon Valley. Dave holds his Series 65, life, health and variable annuity licenses as well as the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Financial Fiduciary® designations.  He is a member of the Financial Planning Association®, Million Dollar Round Table and is an education junkie, attending more than 10 conferences per year to continue to advance his knowledge to help others.

Rick McClanahan has been working in the financial sector for over 20 years, helping clients protect their assets and invest wisely. A successful financial consultant, speaker, coach and entrepreneur, He founded his holistic financial services practice, Legacy First Financial Group LLC, in 2007 and is also the founder and CEO of the American Financial Education Alliance (AFEA) an IRS approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization specializing in teaching financial education in libraries, businesses, and over 200 universities nationwide.

Rick’s success in his financial practice and non-profit organization naturally led to an overwhelming desire to educate financial professionals about the new DOL fiduciary rule and what it now means to be a true fiduciary. In early 2017 He founded the National Association of Certified Financial Fiduciaries (NACFF) and created the Certified Financial Fiduciary® designation to accomplish this goal.

Rick is now a widely sought out conference speaker and instructor of multiple topics including comprehensive fiduciary training, understanding fiduciary laws, the DOL Fiduciary rule as well as financial management, retirement income planning, Social Security and Medicare training, employee and workplace training, wealth management strategies and more. His workshops, classes and seminars are in constant demand due to his devotion to his craft, his passion for helping people improve their lifestyles, and his expertise in insurance, finance, tax and estate planning issues.

After graduating from high school Rick served eight years on three different ships in the United States Navy the largest of which being the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN 71, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. While serving our country he worked in the ship’s finance department where he got his start assisting other service members with their finances. During his time in the military, he was able to complete his undergraduate studies as well marry and begin raising 3 wonderful children: Jordan, Raven, and Domenic. Rick is a proud veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
